Getting started
What is TakeOvr?
A marketplace for gacha game stages. If you are stuck on one, you post it with a price and pay upfront. Other players apply to clear it. You pick one, they clear it, you confirm, they get paid.
Does it cost anything to join?
Creating an account and applying to clear stages are free. Posting a stage means paying its price upfront, which is held until you confirm the clear. We take a cut only when a job completes.
Do I need two accounts to both post and clear stages?
No. One account does both. Post a stage today, bid on someone else's tomorrow.
I signed up but no email arrived.
Check your spam folder first. If it is not there, use the resend link on the login page. Activation links expire after 48 hours.
Posting a stage
How do I decide what to charge?
Set what the clear is worth to you. That price is fixed, and providers apply at it, so a fair price attracts more applicants. You are not obliged to accept anyone.
What should I put in the description?
Optional, but worth filling in. Anything a provider needs to judge the job. Vague requests get fewer applicants.
What is the expiry timer for?
You choose how long a request stays up, from 8 to 72 hours. If nobody is accepted in that window the request comes down and you are refunded. Choosing a provider stops the timer.
Can I cancel after accepting a bid?
Yes, while the job is still in progress. The payment goes back to your card.
Clearing stages
How do I get picked?
The price is fixed by the client, so you are competing on trust rather than on price. Give a realistic time, say something useful, and build up rank. Clients can message you before choosing.
When do I get paid?
Mark the stage cleared when you are done. The client confirms it, and the payment is released to you minus the platform fee.
What if the client says it is not cleared?
It comes back to you to finish, and the money stays held in the meantime. If you cannot agree, contact us and we will look at the request and the chat.
How does rank work?
Rank comes from takeovrs you complete here. Trusted at 10, Exalted at 50, Awakened at 100, Ascended at 250, Eternal at 500, Immortal at 1000. New accounts start unranked.
Money
How does the payment work?
You pay when you post. The money is held and is not the provider's yet. Confirming the clear releases it to them. Cancelling sends it back to your card.
What is the platform fee?
A percentage of each completed job, taken from the amount held. Cancelled and refunded jobs carry no fee.
How do providers get paid?
Payouts to providers are still being set up. Completed jobs are recorded and credited, but the money cannot be transferred out yet.
Can I pay someone outside the site?
No. It breaks our terms, and it removes the only protection either of you has if something goes wrong.
Buying and selling accounts
When does the Marketplace open?
No date yet. The page is up so you can see what is coming, but nothing can be listed or bought there so far.
What will I be able to do there?
List an account to sell, browse accounts for sale, or offer a straight swap with another member.
Will buying an account be safe?
Your payment will be held until you confirm you have control of the account, so a seller cannot take the money and vanish. What no escrow can protect against is the publisher: they can reclaim, suspend, or ban a transferred account later, and nobody on this site can stop that. Read the
Terms of Service before buying.
What are the rules for sellers?
List only an account you actually own, describe it honestly including any bans, hand over full access when the sale completes, and never try to recover it afterwards.
Safety
Could my game account get banned?
Possibly, yes. Most publishers forbid account sharing in their own terms, and breaking those rules can get an account suspended or permanently banned. That risk sits with you. Read the
Terms of Service before deciding whether it is worth it.
Is TakeOvr connected to the game publishers?
No. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any publisher. Game names are only used to describe what a request is about.
Who can read my chat messages?
Only you and the other person in that conversation. Each bidder gets a separate thread, so bidders never see each other's messages.
Someone is behaving badly. What do I do?
Contact us with the request link. Threats, harassment, and attempts to move payment off the platform can get an account closed.
Your account
How do I change my email or password?
From the Settings dropdown on your account page. Email changes need confirming from the new address.
What is the security code for?
It is set when you sign up and is required to close your account. It is separate from your password, and you can change it from your account page.
How do I close my account?
Settings, then Close account. You will need your security code. Accounts with a balance or a job in progress have to settle those first.
I forgot my password.
Use the forgot password link on the login page.
